Chef Susie Norris-Epstein specializes in chocolate, European cakes and confections. She served as Associate Chef/Instructor at California School of Culinary Arts (Le Cordon Bleu Program) teaching Baking and Pastry Arts. She has a certificate in Professional Baking from The Epicurean School of Culinary Arts and has a BA in English Literature from Boston College. Prior to her work as a pastry chef, Susie spent 15 years as a television executive in Los Angeles. Her first book CHOCOLATE BLISS, will be released by Celestial Arts/Random House in October 2009.
Sweets for the Street - Ms. Shell's Bakery provides cakes, desserts and support to homeless and mentally impaired women through The Downtown Women's Center of Los Angeles.
Save Africa's Children - Ms. Shell's Bakery provides financial support to the children of impoverished African countries which supply 70% of the world's chocolate. This program is affiliated with the West Angeles Church of Los Angeles.
